I came back on Feb. 20, 2011. I wanted to see what the deeper area was like to the North-West of the area I dove before. Visibility in the shallows was about 20 feet, but as I swam down the slope, it gradually became worse. It seemed like the mild current was stirring up the silt in the bay. The rocky slope ended at about 50-60 feet deep. Down here I could barely see 6 feet in front of me. So far I think the diving is best near shore around the narrow canyon and the urchin-covered wall 20-40 feet deep. I still didn't see many fish, but there were seals and a river otter swimming on the surface.
