This is right next to the popular Sandy Cove dive site in the Terrance Bay area. Some divers call this place "Sandy Cove Lighthouse". I parked at the end of the road in the parking area used for Sandy Cove. On one side of the road is the Sandy Cove beach and on the other there is a trail leading to a small, narrow bay with a tiny sandy beach and the lighthouse on one side. The first time I came here visibility was around 30 feet (the best I saw on all my Halifax dives). The sandy bottom near the beach turned into a rocky-sided canyon with boulders covering the bottom. I followed these kelp and coralline algae-covered boulders down to around 40 feet where there was a flat, sandy bottom with the occasional rocky reef. I didn't see any fish/crabs/lobster. The only animal life I saw were a few tiny hermit crabs. In the summer, when the life comes back, this would probably be a nice dive on days with good visibility. The second time I dove here visibility was down to around 6 feet and without being able to appreciate the topography, there wasn't much to see. I tried again on another day, but visibility was even worse so I gave up and used my still-full tank at nearby Sandy Cove.
