The barnacle invasion that turned most of this site white and replaced many of the colourful invertebrates in early Summer, 2016 has finally died off. The tunicate colonies are starting to return. This site used to be one of my spots to see hydrocoral (and the purple ring-top snails that were associated with it), but since the barnacles took over, the hydrocoral has disappeared. It still doesn't seem to be returning yet. In the last 2 years, the large variety of nudibranchs that used to be common here also seem to be mostly absent. These photos are from Aug. 20, 2018. Visibility was about 15'.
