This was probably my favorite dive of the three that I did off Phuket. Shark "Point" is a small pinnacle that breaks the surface as a small exposed rock topped with a marker. There is a  series of other pinnacles and reefs leading off from the main one. Visibility was around 30-40 feet at the surface near the marker, but (as at the King Cruiser wreck) decreased to around 20 feet as we descended. The base of the first pinnacle (about 60 feet deep) was a sandy bottom with small reefs scattered around. These reefs were covered with hard coral, soft coral, sponges and sea fans. I was surprised by the size and amount of these large red fans. The visibility improved as we swam away from the first pinnacle (eventually it reached about 50 feet). There were the usual swarms of fish, small moray eels and mounds of diverse corals. Some of the sponges (usually pink-coloured) were huge. Our maximum depth was around 67 feet. Eventually we reached a second pinnacle and swam up it's soft-coral-covered side back to the surface just above it's tip.
