I haven't been here in a few years and I wanted to see sponges so I came for a dive on Jun. 18, 2010. During the last few years there has been about a week of 50-100-foot visibility in mid to late June in the Southern half of the Inlet and I wanted to try and catch it today. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as I hoped. I could see 10-20 feet in the shallows and 30-40 feet below 40 feet deep. Dots of plankton were floating around at all depths. There are still lots of cloud sponges, but on a day like this (without stunning visibility), the deep wall seemed silty, dark and gloomy.
