I was in Muscat on April 27, 2019 and I went out on an Extra Divers boat charter. We were supposed to go to Fahal Island, but it was too windy for such an exposed site so we went to Bandar Khayran instead. Bandar Khayran is an area of inlets and islands cutting into the mountains East of Muscat. There is always somewhere sheltered to dive here. We did 2 dives in the area with depths down to around 60' or so. Like at most spots in the UAE/Oman area, there were lots of moray eels and clownfish/anemones. There were also lots of soft corals and green and purple whip corals. Visibility varied from 10'-30'. There were lots of particles in the water. These photos are from the second dive.
