I tried to dive here the day before, but the current was too strong despite the Juan de Fuca (East) current table showing a few hours with minimal current. I came back here the next day (Jun. 21, 2010) and the current seemed fine. Visibility was about 20 feet and the sewer pipe reef was crowded with the expected rockfish, lingcod and kelp greenlings. I made it out to the end of the pipe, where the current was just strong enough to discourage me from sticking around. On the way back, I swam along the top of the reef surrounded by schools of black and yellowtail rockfish.
