After seeing the decent visibility here on my last dive, I came back with my wide-angle lens a week later (Oct. 5, 2007). Visibility was even better this time. I could see about 50 feet as soon as I put my face in the water. I've never seen shallow water that clear in B.C. When I made it further out to the reefs at the point around 30-40 feet deep, visibility was even better (maybe closer to 100 feet, but I didn't have a tape measure on me). Once again, I didn't even make it out to the islet. I used up all my air frantically swimming into position for my self-portrait shots. I wish I could have swam farther away in the photos to show off the great visibility, but you can only swim so far with a 10-second timer.
