I came back on Aug. 7, 2009 hoping to find the China rockfish again, but had no luck with that. Visibility was about 30 feet. The usual fishing line was littered all over the bottom.  A crab trap was stuck on some rocks. A fishing boat seemed to be hanging around above my head for most of the dive. The current was about as strong as I've seen it here. Other than all that, it was a great dive. In the shallows, there was a huge school of herring. Lingcod and black rockfish were hanging around at the edge of the kelp forest and occasionally darting into the school for a bite.
