I tried for this side of Albert head again on May 22, 2009. I put my boat in the water at the beach in front of Albert Head Lagoon and went around to the other side of the point. I swam out  along the same small island and out past it's tip to try and find the deeper area again. Visibility was only around 10 feet and I didn't think I would find it, but eventually the bottom turned into the solid rocky reef/wall/boulder area that I remembered starting at around 50 feet deep. I went down to about 80 feet. I don't know if this is the same area that I saw last time. I didn't see the area with plumose anemones, but there were lots of those skinny, branching yellow sponges all over the place. There were small schools of copper, yellowtail and black rockfish, but with the bad visibility, it seemed dark and gloomy. The current was pretty strong so I didn't want to explore too far. I struggled back up the slope against the current, which seemed to be flowing straight out from shore. Back in the shallows near the steep-sided island I saw a large cabezon darting off, shallow walls covered with urchins, plumose anemones and cup corals and even some patches of hydrocoral.
