I was in Dubai for 2 weeks in May, 2019. I'm not a fan of hanging around in Dubai itself, but I've always enjoyed going diving on the East coast of the UAE in the emirate of Fujairah, so my plan this was to go out there at least a few times. Unfortunately, it was almost impossible to book a dive charter. There are several dive centers in Dubai that offer charters to the East coast, but they wouldn't answer e-mails or phone calls. When I showed up in person, they would say they weren't sure of the schedule and said they'd e-mail me, but none of them did. -Or they would say I needed more training before I could dive in the ocean (which of course they could provide). On their websites they say they do dive charters to the wrecks on the Dubai side, but in person, they said that none of them actually do. Eventually, after trying everyday for 9 days, Nemo Diving finally responded and I booked a day of diving to the East coast. They included transportation, which was about a 1.5-hour drive across the desert and mountains to Fujairah. I did 2 dives. The photos and descriptions are at the following links:
