As usual, I swam down through a shallow (20' deep), narrow canyon. For some reason this canyon has always been my favourite part of this dive site. Visibility was 20-30'.
Just outside the canyon, the bottom was covered with brittle stars piled on top of each other. I've seen them here before on previous dives over the years. I've always found it strange that there would be such a dense population of them in a relatively small area. I spent most of the rest of the dive swimming around the West side of the island down to a maximum depth of 60'. By the way, the Village Islands are within the Becher Bay Rockfish Conservation area so it's illegal for most people to fish or spear here.
