This site (also called "Buttertart") is marked by a small exposed rock that's covered at high tide. It's on the West side of Browning Pass a bit North of Browning Wall. We came here as a first dive-of-the-day on a second day of diving on the Sun Fun dive boat. The rock is surrounded by a small patch of bull kelp and then the bottom drops off in a wall into the pass. Visibility was over 50' and the wall had all the same anemones, sponges and soft coral as we saw on Browning Wall. My maximum depth was 90', but the wall went deeper than that. This was my favorite dive of the ones we did during this weekend. The life on the wall was similar to Browning wall, but it seemed brighter here. Maybe since this rock is farther from shore, it's not so much in the shadow of the cliffs like Browning Wall.
Up in the bull kelp there was a sea otter swimming around and rolling itself up in the kelp.
Unfortunately, since my surface photos memory card was corrupted, I lost all the zoomed-in long lens photos I took of the sea otter from the boat.
