This is the farthest North that we went on the island. This small beach is packed with rental chairs, cabanas and umbrellas so it's not really a relaxing place to hang around on the surface. It's the site of a well-known dive site just a bit off the beach (Alice In Wonderland). There's also a dive shop on the beach with a dock. There's a big roped-off area in the water off the beach to prevent boats from running into swimmers.
We found the area within the roped-off area to be mostly broken coral rubble. I'm guessing that this shallow area gets hit by the occasional storm that flattens everything or buries it in sand.
We swam outside the floating rope boundary. There was some more coral out here since it was deeper, but it was still pretty broken up.
We swam over the top of the drop-off that I'm assuming is the Alice In Wonderland dive site.
We swam back into the roped-off area and headed towards shore.
Snorkeling-wise, I don't think this place was that great compared to other places on the island, but swimming around in warm water in the tropics is never a waste of time.
